Happy 15 months, Rhys!!

Rhys is doing GREAT!!! He's just made 15 months and continues growing and developing into the sweet and ACTIVE boy that God has made him to be!!!! I praise the Lord for my days with him! Each day is different, and Rhys certainly keeps me on my toes and in quick suspicion of what is going on when things get quiet {or loud! :)}!!

My sweet friend, Ashley, gave me the sweetest of birthday treats this year...a family photo shoot! Rhys had fun running around Aldridge Gardens while Ashley snapped some great pictures...

Recent "Rhys stats":
He weighs in at 22 lbs
He measures in at 31 inches long
His head circumference measures at 18.25 inches

Some random, not-so-statistical stats :) ...

Rhys is walking, running and CLIMBING ALL OVER the place! I have to plan a park visit into our days so that he can burn all his energy!! I enjoy our park visits...I ALWAYS strike up fun conversations with great moms and our kiddos have a great time playing together! Rhys is saying more words...Mommy, Daddy (says this one ALL the time!!! :)), bah (for ball), cracker, dah (for dog), yeah!, uh-oh (his absolute FAVORITE) and more.

Rhys still naps twice a day, but I think he'll be dropping his morning nap in the next two or three months. He's eating well, although we have added a daily vitamin to his diet just in case he's not getting all his daily needs from animal and graham crackers! ;) He sleeps GREAT at night, going down around 7:00/7:30pm, waking up most mornings around 6:30/7:00. He naps okay...I think every mommy would enjoy a LONG napper. Rhys is a 1 to 1.5 hour napper most days, so I just do what I can during those times, as far as chores, work, me-time, etc.

I tell Russell over and over again that I want another and another! Rhys is precious! We are IN LOVE with him! We praise our Lord for him and are SO excited to meet Caleb soon {less than 4 months and definitely counting!! :)}!!!

Changes 'Round Here...

We're getting ready for some big changes 'round here, so we've been busy! How does that saying go? "Off with the old, on with the new!"

We're moving next month to Missouri...for four months. Russell has training with the military, since he became an officer, and I'll be training as a mommy with one for 2.5 months, then as a mommy with TWO for the last 1.5 months. Life is a whirlwind right now with so many decisions and changes going on, but we haven't doubted for one second God's sovereignty in all of it, and we're genuinely looking forward to HIS plans in all of it!

I am excited about coming back with Rhys AND Caleb in tow!

We (mainly me, Shireen's coming around...given enough time, she always does) are confident that God has lead us to name this son Caleb. Yes, in reference to the Caleb from Numbers 13 & 14 and Joshua 14. You absolutely must read to have a full appreciation. He is one of my favorite men from scripture. Second only to Jesus and Job I think. But I'll not be naming any of my sons Jesus or Job unless God writes on a wall.

Anyway, Shireen and I are struggling to find a middle name to go with Caleb. We have both made suggestions to no avail. So, we need your help. Please submit your suggestions. If we use your suggestion you win...absolutely nothing. But, we'll have a name! Thanks! -Russell
